Charles will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his wife Jeanne Coutcher. He was extremely generous and kind and would help anyone in need. He served in the US Navy on the USS Boston from 1959-1965. He went to Bryant University and received a bachelor’s degree in engineering and went on to work for Verizon for many years. Upon retirement, he and his wife spent much of their time in The Villages, Florida where he had numerous friends who loved him dearly.
He leaves behind his wife Jeanne Coutcher. He also leaves behind his children David Coutcher and wife Annie Coutcher of Manhattan, Illinois and their children Benjamin, Alex and Rebecca Coutcher; his daughter Lisa (Coutcher) Kaeller and her husband Paul Kaeller of Uxbridge, Mass and their children Scott and Chloe Kaeller; his daughter Diane (Coutcher) DePasquale and her partner K.C Perry of Pascoag, RI and her children Santino and Dominic DePasquale; his son Brian Coutcher and his partner Sarah Willard of Smithfield, RI and their children Kaylee and Steven Coutcher; Carole Coffey and husband Kevin Coffey of Douglas, Mass and their children Amy and Jillian Coffey; Linda Dussinger of Hudson, Mass and her sons Craig and Dana Dussinger; Mike Champagne and his wife Tracy Champagne of Woonsocket, RI and his daughter Michaela Champagne. He was preceded in death by his son Stephen Coutcher.
We are deeply grateful to the Village at Waterman Lake for the compassionate and loving care they gave our father throughout his time there. Their kindness and support meant so much to him and our entire family. He will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm and on Wednesday, September 30th from 10:00-11:00 am followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Military honors will be rendered immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
