FosterHopkins, Charles A. Sr., 70, of Howard Avenue, formerly of Foster, died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, a son of the late Ernest Hopkins and Ethel E. (Diptmar) Hopkins-Massotti, he had lived in the Scituate / Foster area most of his life. Mr. Allen owned and operated Charlie's Texaco Station on Danielson Pike in Scituate for many years until retiring. He leaves two sons; Charles A. Hopkins, Jr. of Providence, Chris A. Hopkins of Chepachet, a daughter; Carrie A. Dauphinais of Chepachet, a brother; Arthur Hopkins of Johnston, a sister; JoAnn McCall of Mapleville, and nine grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Ethel Sharpe and Ernest Hopkins, Jr. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, North Road, Foster. Visiting hours Wednesday, 5 - 8 pm.
