Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Edith (Kelly) Lamantia.
Mickey was a heavy equipment operator for 40 years and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 478 and the Operating Engineers, Local 57. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of Charles A. Lamantia, Jr. and his wife Mari-Lu, James Lamantia and his wife Jill, Michael Lamantia and his wife Amanda, Kathy Nadeau and her husband Gene and the late Karen Lamantia and grandfather of Amanda, Jonathan, Alec, Cody, Elisabeth, Michael, Jake and Abbigale. He was also the brother of Dolores Pratt and the late John Lamantia and Edythe Gonsalves.
Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Social distancing, masks, and occupancy restrictions will be observed with no more than fifteen people at a time being permitted.
