Charles Lanham Sheets

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harold Junior and Teresa (Pace) Sheets.

He is survived by his two children, Richard Charles Sheets (Sami) of Johnston and Michaela “Michelle” Maria Johnson of North Providence; three grandchildren, Michaela Anderson, Nina Wilcox (Dustin) and Raven Simone; five great grandchildren, Brooke, Jace, Elias, Erza and Enoch and one brother, Tom Sheets (Rosemary) of North Providence.

Charles graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in Providence and proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Later he worked at the CIBA-GEIGY Chemical Plant in Rhode Island. During this time, he was also a volunteer Firefighter fir the Geneva Fire Station in North Providence and was an assistant coach for the North Providence Jets.

He also worked for the Taylor Group as a Civilian Military Contractor in Louisiana, Texas and California and as a rancher at the Bar S Bar Ranch in Utah before settling in Idaho.

He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the PONTAELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
