Charles Sheldon Sprague, Jr

Charles S. Sprague, Jr., 47, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of Charles S. Sprague, of Florida and Joan M. (Lyons) Sprague, of West Warwick. Charlie loved animals, and enjoyed building stock cars plus participating in demolition derby races. Besides his parents, he is survived by his siblings, David Peterson, and his wife, Catherine (Nield) Peterson, of Cranston, Glenn F. Peterson, and his wife, Theresa Pappas, of Johnston, and Dawn R. (Peterson) Mendonca, and her husband, Michael Mendonca, of Barrington; an aunt, Helen Lyons, of North Providence; and his three nephews, Noah and Lucas Mendonca and Kyle Peterson. He also leaves behind a host of close friends and colleagues at Gulliver's Tavern. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Charles’ family on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
