Clara Scungio, 94, passed away April 12, 2013. She was the wife of Joseph Scungio; daughter of the late Joseph and Civita (Fuoco) Capraro; mother of Mary Ann LaFazia and husband Kenneth, Beverly Depault and companion Raymond A. Maxwell, and the late Clara Murphy; grandmother of Deborah Rossi, Jeff Depault and fiancé Shayna Rabaiotti, Kenny Depault and companion Sarah Johnson, and great-grandmother of Emily Depault; sister of Josephine DiNobile and the late Armando, John, Emilio, Carmino, Antonio and Joseph Capraro, Etta Lanzi, Lena Remington, and Susie Leonti.
Clara was a communicant of St. Anthony Church. She was devoted to her family and also loved the Red Sox, Days of Our Lives and Foxwoods.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Visitation respectfully omitted. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
