He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Arruda) Higgins. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Murphy) Higgins.
Daniel was the step-father of Marc J. Lacasse; cherished grandfather of Justin Matthew Lacasse; great-grandson of Jayden Matthew Lacasse; brother of Richard Higgins and brother-in-law of Cheryl Higgins. He was the brother of the late James Higgins and Kathleen Lorenza.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, October 30th at 2:30 p.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI.
