

Born in Puerto Rico, Daniel was the son of Domingo Santana and Ivette Santana.
Daniel worked in the recruitment and transportation divisions of Comprehensive Community Action, in Providence. Daniel was a hard working man who cared for others more than himself. He loved his job, his co workers, and the students he worked with. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his 4 beautiful children and his lovely wife.
His hobbies included routing for his favorite sports teams, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and despite getting ragged on, was a die hard Miami Dolphins fan, even though he lived in New England. He also enjoyed playing video games, and loved making various Spanish dishes.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Michael Joseph, Owen Santana, Madison Scully Santana, Olivia Santana; his brothers, Gabrielle Santana, Orlando Pereira, Marcus Pereira, and his little sister, Jenny Santana. He was the brother of the late Gabriel “Bebo” Pereira.
His visitation will be held on Sunday, from 4 - 8 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. The funeral will begin on Monday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Mary’s Church, 70 Church Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
