Darleen J. Scott

She was born in Warwick Rhode Island on November 7th, 1951, to the late Gladys (Seeley) Symonds and Louis H. Symonds Sr. She was the Widow to the late Francis D. Scott Sr. and the companion of Ralph Petit.

Darleen leaves her cherished children, Shawn M. Smith, Crystal J. Briggs and Francis D. Scott Jr. She was the devoted Nanny to Danica Hamlin (Albert),  Angel Russell, Brandie Jackson (Eric), Tiara Scott, Destine Scott, Brittney Scott, Jasmine Scott, and Zachary Scott. She also leaves 19 great- grandchildren.

Darleen is survived by her brother, Francis E. Symonds Sr. (Sandra), and sister Melanie D. Symonds. She was the sister of the late Louis H. Symonds Jr., Douglas E. Symonds Sr., and Robert E. Symonds. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Darleen was a CNA for the Rhode Island medical center for 15 years and worked for various agencies in the Medical field until her illness.  She loved caring for people.

Darleen loved to cook. Everyone enjoyed her GREENS! She was an extremely loving person, and if we may add, She was also quite passionate and feisty and would speak her mind when needed!

She will be missed by all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
