David P. Pontarelli, 95, passed away May 23, 2014. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Oneppo) Pontarelli and Rita (Vadnais) Pontarelli, son of the late Giuseppe and Giovina (Neri) Pontarelli and companion of Beverly Ayers.
He was a maintenance man for W.H. Haskell and Newman Crosby for many years before retiring. He was also a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1271.
David was the father of Vincent Pontarelli, Joan McGovern and Eddy and William Vadnais and brother of the late Anthony, Domenic and Louis Pontarelli, Carmella Grande, Ida Ferra and Nellie DeSpirito. He also leaves several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors to follow in R.I. Veteran’s Cemetery.
