Cranston Diane Marie McVeigh, 44, of Haven Avenue, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving son and her family. Born in Providence, a daughter of Stella (Chiodo) McVeigh of Cranston, and the late Henry J. McVeigh, Sr., she lived in Cranston for the past twenty-six years. Diane was a secretary for Radiation Oncology Associates for several years before illness prevented her from continuing to work. Beside her mother, she leaves a son, Jonathan A. McVeigh; a sister, Alison M. Ferreira; and a brother, Henry J. McVeigh. She was a sister of the late Lisa Ann McVeigh. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Sunday, 4 - 8 pm. Kindly omit flowers and Mass cards. Memorial contributions in honor of Diane may be given to her immediate family.
