

WESTERLY - CARBERRY, Dolores M., 63, of High Street, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital after being stricken while swimming in Narragansett Bay. She was the beloved wife of John D. "Jack" Carberry. They had been married for 36 years. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late John A. and Anna D. (Rameika) Galvin, she had lived in Westerly for the past 2 years. She had previously lived in Warwick for 15 years and in Rumford prior to that. Mrs. Carberry had been a Proctor at Paul Mitchell "The School" in Cranston for the past 1 A½ years. She had formerly been a medical secretary at Memorial Hospital for 10 years and Kent Hospital for 10 years. She had also been a repair clerk at the former New England Telephone Co., and had worked in the accounts payable department of the Kent County Daily Times. She was a communicant of St. Clare Church in Misquamicut and had formerly been a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Gregory the Great Church. Besides her husband she leaves her children Sean G. Carberry and his wife Cheryl of Coventry, and Terrance P. Carberry of Warwick; her brothers J. Austin Galvin and his wife Paula of Cranston, and Michael K. Galvin and his wife Nina of Warwick; her grandchildren, Nicole Couto, Jennifer, Daniel T., Sara E., and Shane R. Carberry. She was the mother of the late Brian M. Carberry. Her funeral will be Friday at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm.
