Domenic J. Landi, 82, a devoted father, loving brother and cherished family man, passed away peacefully Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by the love he so freely gave throughout his life. Born in Providence, a son of the late Americo and Angelina (Mancini) Landi.
He was the beloved father of Melodi M. Landi and Scott Americo Landi; devoted brother to Amelia “Amy” Landi, Vivian R. Landi and Beverly Landi-Kraus and her husband Gary; and cherished uncle of Jeffrey Kraus.
Domenic was an army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union, local 251. He will be remembered most for his deep generosity, unwavering faith, and the joy he found in being with those he loved.
Family was the center of Domenic’s world. He enjoyed visiting his daughter’s house to give the dog cookies, going out to coffee with his son and talking to his sisters daily. He expressed his love in countless ways, including his beloved tradition of creating homemade birthday cards for family — small works of art filled with creativity and heart.
Known as the most generous person to many who knew him, Domenic gave selflessly to others. His faith was a guiding force in his life; as an avid churchgoer, being involved in the church community and signing in the choir.
Music brought him joy, and he loved to sing. Whether in church or at home, his voice reflected his deep connection to faith and family.
Above all else, Domenic was a devoted father and brother whose love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. His kindness, creativity, and generosity set an example that will be cherished.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM in Saint Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial with military honors will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St Jude's Children Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate or Wounded Warrior Project, https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org in his honor would be appreciated.
