DUGAN, DONALD R., 69,passed away peacefully in Miami, FL on September 17, 2006 in the company of family and many friends. Born in Woonsocket on August 15th 1937, Don graduated from LaSalle High School, in 1955, and later attended Brown University. He began his professional life with J.M. Fields and managedstores in Rochester NY, Spartanburg and Greenville SC, and Miami FL.Don was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree) in Greenville SC and was named Catholic Man of the Year for the State of South Carolina.He volunteered in Prison Ministry inMiami for many years. His secondcareer was as a cable advertisingexecutive with Adelphia, TCI, andComcast. He was the Greater MiamiAdvertising Federation Man of the Year. He worked in Miami as apolitical consultant for many localgovernment elected officials, judges, county commissioners, school board members, and state officials at every level. He was predeceased by hisparents, William G. Dugan Sr. andJeannie Dugan. Don is survived byhis brother William G. Dugan Jr. of North Providence; his former wife Marion Dugan Mackenzie of Port St. Lucie, FL; his sons, Dennis Dugan of Las Vegas, NV, Timothy Dugan of Kissimee, FL; his daugh-ter Wendy Dugan Castle of Tallahassee, FL; his grandsons Robert of Tallahassee, FL and Joseph of Las Vegas, NV andhis great-grandson, Christopher Lee ofLas Vegas.Committal prayers will be offered on Friday at 11:30amin St. Ann's Cemetery Chapel, Cranston St., Cranston. In lieu of flow-ers donations to the Archdiocese of Miami, 9401 Biscayne BoulevardMiami Shores, FL 33138 in his memory will be appreciated.
