Dora Theresa (Giammarco) DiLuciano, 97, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on August 11, 2026. Born and raised in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Cesare and Gaetanina (Signorelli) Giammarco.
After retiring from her career as a supervisor in the jewelry industry, Dora joyfully embraced her next chapter: helping care for her beloved young grandchildren and being the biggest fan at all of their sporting events. Dora’s home was always filled with family, laughter, and the warm, irresistible aroma of authentic Italian cooking made entirely from scratch. A woman of spirited hobbies, Dora enjoyed life’s most simple pleasures, including playing card games, trying her luck at the casino slot machines, solving endless word search puzzles, keeping up with her favorite soap operas, CourtTV, and the Game Show Network, and most of all, watching Atlanta Braves baseball games with her grandson.
Dora leaves behind a legacy of love as the devoted mother of Rhonda (DiLuciano) Trambowicz and Dina DiLuciano; the proud grandmother of Joseph (his wife, Nina) and Marissa; and the cherished great-grandmother of Amelia and Nora. Dora was also like a second-mother to her niece, Jennifer.
Raised alongside eight brothers and sisters, Dora shared a deep bond with her family. She leaves behind her brother, Frankie Giammarco, and was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy (Giammarco) Giuliano and Lena (Giammarco) Baldassare, as well as her brothers, Cesare Jr., Alphonso, Leo, Danny, and Augustine 'Pups' Giammarco.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Dora’s life.
