Edward Lanni

Edward Lanni, 91, passed away September 1, 2015. Son of the late Joseph and Madeline (Arciero) Lanni; husband of Josephine (Lanni) Lanni; father of Joseph Lanni, Edward Lanni and his wife Elizabeth, John Lanni and his wife Deborah, Joyce Fishpaw and her husband Richard; grandfather of E.J. and his wife Kristen, Joshua and his wife Vanessa, Nicole and Brittany Lanni and Laura Fishpaw; brother of Michael Lanni and the late Mary Bart, Louis, John, Anthony and Joseph Lanni.

Mr. Lanni was a former volunteer fireman for the Marieville Fire Dept. and an active member of AARP. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a master carpenter and retired as a senior construction supervisor. He was also a passionate musician and guitar player. He entertained thousands of people with his band The Melody Men.

Visitation and funeral will be held on Friday, 9-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Entombment with military honors will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
