North Kingstown Edward James Toppi, 68, of North Kingstown, and formerly of Jamestown, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, July 20, 2013, with his loving sister Lori by his side.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Carmel (Gerardi) Toppi.Edward attended the Adeline LaPlante Memorial Center in Wakefield for over 30 years and was deeply loved by his family, and members of the LaPlante Center community. His presence in the community will be deeply missed.Eddie leaves his sister, Lori M. Matson; a nephew, Jamal Toppi; a grand-niece, Palena Toppi; as well as his extended family members at the LaPlante Center.The memorial service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 1:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Adeline LaPlante Memorial Center, 126 Willard Avenue, Wakefield, RI, 02879 in his memory will be appreciated.
