

Born in Pawtucket, Eileen was the cherished only daughter of the late William J. and Helena (Zagrodney) Cahill.
She dedicated her life to education, teaching at Cunningham Elementary School in Pawtucket from 1967 until her retirement in 1998. Her warmth, patience, and commitment to her students left a lasting impact on generations of young learners.
Eileen was a devoted mother to William C. Thompson, Andrew E. Thompson, and Daniel P. Thompson.
She found joy in creating beaded jewelry, a hobby that reflected her creativity and attention to detail.
Eileen’s love extended beyond her family to her cherished canine companions. She was predeceased by her beloved dogs, Diezel and Maggie, who brought her years of joy and companionship and who now wait to greet her once more. She is also deeply missed by her loyal dog, Tank, who remained faithfully by her side.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, former students, and all who had the Eileen F. (Cahill) Thompson, age 79, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. She was the beloved wife of William Thompson, to whom she was happily married for 56 years.
