Elizabeth B. Feeney

ProvidenceElizabeth B. (Rossi) Feeney, 91, formerly of Metcalf Court, Providence, passed away on Sunday evening, November 13, 2011 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, in Providence. She was the wife the late Thomas S. Feeney. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes B. (La Croix) Rossi.A life long resident of the City of Providence, Elizabeth was employed as a cook for the Providence School Department, working in Nathanael Greene Middle School, for many years. She leaves her two sons, Thomas L. Feeney, of Boynton Beach, FL, and Russell S. Feeney, of Providence; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert R. Rossi, of SC. She was the mother of the late Donald R. Feeney. Elizabeth was also the sister of the late Paul, Louis, Leo, and Joseph Rossi, and the late Marlene H. Russo, and Doris Marshall.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, at 7:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am in Saint Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, from 5-8 pm.
