

ProvidenceElizabeth Carol Terry, 78, of Smith Street, died peacefully Sunday morning, October 9th, 2011, at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. Terry. Born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Barney and Elizabeth G. (Hyde) Williams, she lived in Sandwich, Massachusetts for over thirty years. Mrs. Terry worked as an administrative assistant, at the Cape Cod Collaborative, before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for many years, and served as chairperson of Opera Cape Cod for several years. Since moving to Providence nine years ago, she was a communicant of Saint Pius V Church. She leaves three daughters, Ann T. Jacquez, and her husband Robert, Jane E. Emery and Rebecca S. Gydush; two sons, Francis Genter and Nathan Terry and his wife Desiree; a brother, Barney W. Williams; and twelve loving grandchildren, Frances, Joseph, Carolyn, John, Emily, Kim, Greg, Joshua, Beth, Dan, Laura and Katie. She was a sister of the late Mary June Gross. The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts, at 1:45 pm.
