Elvira B. Pisani

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Anna L. (Canova) Gaioni. She was the devoted mother of Nicholas A. Pisani and Carol A. Pisani, both of Johnston, and the sister of Roger B. Gaioni and his wife Elizabeth of Bayside, NY, and the late Ines Laferriere.

Elvira worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for 11 years before retiring to raise her children. As a young woman, she enjoyed the beach, listening to opera, and singing, being a member of the Sud Abbott choral group. She enjoyed cooking for her family and loved watching “Jeopardy”.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 4-7 PM.
