

NORTH PROVIDENCE - BADWAY, Ernest E. "Gido", 73, of Sunset Avenue, died Sunday at Courtland Place. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Raya) Badway. They had been married for 43 years. Born in Kfsgharb, Lebanon, a son of the late Wadeh and Kaleemy (Badway) Badway, he lived in North Providence for the past 37 years. Mr. Badway was a former member of the Knights of Lebanon, and was a proud Korean War veteran, serving with the 1st Division of the U.S. Army. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Ernest E. Badway and his wife Elizabeth of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Mark J. Badway of North Providence, Kevin T. Badway and his wife Lisa of Warwick, Dana B. Witczak and her husband David of Old Saybrook, CT, and Brian J. Badway of San Diego, CA; his sister Maureen C. Budway of Johnston; his brother Nasseur J. Badway of Providence; his aunt Helen (Badway) Joseph of Greenville, and his beloved grandchildren Sydney, Abigail, Nicholas, and Matthew Badway and John Witczak. He was the brother of the late Maurice Badway. His funeral will be Wednesday at 9:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations to St. George Maronite Church Building Fund, 50 Summit Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 in his memory will be appreciated.
