Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Luigi and Consiglia (Martino) Forlini.
Mr. Forlini owned and operated Forlini’s Poultry on Pocasset Avenue for many years. Later he worked in the jewelry manufacturing business, and the last ten years was a doorman at the R.I. State House. He was a World War II Army veteran, coached little league for many years and enjoyed fishing and hunting wild mushrooms. Being a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church, he was a member of the Holy Name Society and he was also a Eucharistic Minister to local long term facilities.
He was the beloved father of Sgt. Ernest R. Forlini, Jr. P.P.D and Christine M. Forlini-Felisberto, also cherished grandfather of Jacqueline Rose and Nicholas Robert Forlini. He is survived by his sister Anna Insana and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Giovanni Forlini, Mary Davies and Rose Schalit and Baby Elizabetta.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM.
