Ernestine Marie Pascetta

Born on December 29, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Anargiro and Louise (Cipriano) Anargiro. Ernestine was a loving, generous, caring and fun-loving woman whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a genuine interest in people and a wonderful ability to form lasting relationships. Whether with family, friends or colleagues, Ernestine made people feel welcomed, valued and cared for.

For many years, Ernestine was employed by Rhode Island Hospital, where she served as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Facilities. She took great pride in her work and was highly regarded for her dedication, professionalism and the special relationships she developed throughout her career. In June 1992, Ernestine was honored as Employee of the Month, recognizing her dedication and valued contributions to Rhode Island Hospital.

Ernestine truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and most especially the company of family and friends. She looked forward to her weekly games of Hi-Lo-Jack with her friends where the friendships and laughter around the table were every bit as important as the cards. She also enjoyed traveling from time to time and was an avid slot player who loved the fun and excitement of trying her luck at the casino.

Family was at the heart of Ernestine's life. She was the loving wife of Russell Pascetta; loving mother of the late Claudia Contillo and the late Michael Pascetta and cherished grandmother of Chloe Pascetta, who held an especially treasured place in her heart.

Ernestine was also predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Morin. She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Hardin, as well as her loving nieces and nephews, all with whom she shared many wonderful memories and special times throughout the years.

Those who knew Ernestine will remember much more than the things she accomplished. They will remember her generosity, her caring nature, her sense of fun and most of all, the way she made people feel. The many friendships she formed throughout her life were deeply important to her and many endured for decades.

Ernestine will be deeply missed by her family, her many friends and all those whose lives were made a little brighter by knowing her. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave, the friendships she treasured and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Her visitation and funeral will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
