Ernest “Ernie” Albanese, passed away February 22, 2016. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James and Rose (D’Agostino) Albanese.
Ernie was an employee at Providence College until his retirement in 1990. He had served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949 and the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1955. He was also a life member of the D.A.V. and a life member of the 11th Airborne Division.
He is survived by a sister, brother, three daughters, a son, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service and burial with military honors will be private.
