Esther L. Mazzei

Esther L. (DiMuccio) Mazzei, age 81, passed away peacefully February 11, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Pasquazzi) DiMuccio; beloved wife of the late Armando Mazzei; loving mother of Leslie A. Corneau (Steven Corneau) and Michael A. Mazzei Sr. and his wife Kristina; cherished grandmother Krystal, Michael Jr., Marissa, Kyle, and John; and great-grandmother of Lexi; sister of the late Dolores LaGasse, Arlene C. Santanelli, and Annette Alves.

Esther worked in the jewelry industry, but she was mostly a stay at home grandmother and great-grandmother to her loving family. There was nothing more important than her family. There was nothing she loved more than going on daily adventures with her kids and grandkids. She spent most summers by the beach at her favorite place, Iggy's, with everyone she loved. Esther enjoyed camping with her family and being outdoors. There was never a time where she was not with her family. That is all she really stood for. Not only was she a family person, she was an animal lover. She had many throughout her lifetime all were very special to her. She never had a drivers license in her life. You would constantly see her walking down the street, especially to her son's house with scratch tickets in her hands at all times. She was a very loved person, anyone she was around immediately became her friend. She was a amazing wife, mother, and grandmother and we were grateful for her. She will be deeply missed. She will now be with her husband, Armando Mazzei, who she loved very much.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00-7:00 p.m., funeral Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Kindred Hospice, www.kindredhospice.com.
