Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Eugene and Helen (Conlon) Sanzi.
Eugene was employed at the Davisville Seabee Warehouse for many years before retiring. He was also a WW II Navy Veteran.
He was the father of William J. Sanzi and Patricia Swartzentrover; grandfather of Amy, Angela, William, Joseph, Melinda and the late Melissa and great grandfather of 7. He was also the brother of Richard Sanzi, Dorothy Dowling and the late Walter Sanzi, Mary Oliver, Helen Capron and Marjorie Sanzi.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:45 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston.
