Farida was a treasure. So talented and kind. She so generously shared her passion for knitting, and taught us so much — not just about knitting, but about how to be a beautiful human being. As much as she loved to knit, it was clear that her family was her greatest joy. She talked about you during every visit to her shop. We will miss her and will remember her every time we wear that warm, cozy sweater, scarf or hat.

I am so sad to hear that this beautiful, talented woman is not here with us anymore. I loved hearing about her kids and grandchildren, her dear Husband, whom she adored with all her heart. I think Farida was the most patient person that I have ever met. Sitting with her needles finishing someone else’s work, being interrupted every minute, she never missed a beat, was always there to help and advise.
I have every pattern she ever wrote me and will treasure them always. Beautiful sweaters were made from her patterns, but the most wonderful thing about Farida, are the memories I will always have of her laughing, retelling funny stories and eating her sandwich in between interruptions, of her just being her. Thank you Farida for your talent and kindness. I will always remember you with love.
