Florence McCormick

North Providence: McCormick, Florence (Kozusko), 82,of Smithfield Road died Thursday at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility in Providence. She was the wife of the late James F. McCormick.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Walerja (Jakuborski) Kozusko, she had lived in the Smith Hill section of Providence for most of her life. Mrs. McCormick worked as an inspector for Mine Safety Appliance of Esmond for 24 years, retiring in 1987.She was a auxillary member of Roger Williams American Legion Post #35.She leaves her children, Michael P. McCormick of Cumberland and Eileen P. Hannon of North Providence, two sisters, Helen Smith of Bradenton, FL and Viola McKennedy of Coventry, her five grandchildren, Laurie Litman, Kristen McCormick, Melissa Falco,Michael Hannon and Sean Hannon and ten great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward Kozusko, Blanche Krikes, Stella Ambrose and Mary Maynard. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9am from the Russell J. Boyle&Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Chrisitian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Academy Ave, Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Monday 5-8pm.
