Florence Doris (Lambert) Messier, age 80, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Edmond R. Messier, her high school sweetheart to whom she was happily married for almost 63 years.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Doris (Berard) Lambert.
After her children were born and older, she obtained her nursing degree in 1978.
Florence's life revolved around her seven grandchildren who she adored and loved without reservation. They in turn returned her love the same way.
She was the loving mother of Roger, Michael (Candy), and Donald Messier; cherished grandmother of 7; great-grandmother of 8 with 2 more on the way; and sister of Ernest Lambert and the late Rene Lambert.
She was especially close to her sister-in-law, Suzanne Dube, who she was friends with since before her marriage and who helped with her care over the last difficult years of her fight with Parkinson's.
Her funeral services and burial are private.
