Frances Behan Araujo

She was 78 years of age. Frances was the daughter of Neale D. Murphy and Mary Behan Murphy. Frances grew up in Edgewood and Providence. She was a graduate of Saint Xavier Academy and Pembroke College. She received a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Rhode Island College, and spent her career sharing her talents with Rhode Island's youngest citizens.

Frances is survived by her son, Michael A.J. Araujo; her daughter Lizzie Araujo-Haller, and husband Tobias; her brother John Murphy, and wife Mary Jane; her youngest brother, Bob Murphy; and her eldest sister Anne, and husband John O'Brien. She was also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Sara Carroll; Ruby Haller, George Araujo-Haller; Xavier Araujo; and Eleanor Araujo. She was the sister of the late Neale D. Murphy, Jr. and Joan Murphy Casement.

There will be a memorial service for family and friends of Frances, on Thursday, June 20, at 2 PM, at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street in Providence, with a celebration of her life at 5 PM.
