Francisco A. Lourenco

CranstonFrancisco A. Lourenco, 85, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Emilia Lourenco for 62 years and the son of the late Joaquim and Ana Marta Lourenco. Born in Vale de Azares, Celorico da Beira, Portugal he moved to the United States in 1980 settling in Cranston. He was a member of the Cranston Portuguese Club and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. He is survived by one brother Tito Lourenco and his wife Maria Ester of Cranston; and six predeceased siblings. He also leaves six children, Manuel Lourenco and his wife Olga Isabel, of Palm Coast, Florida, Jose Lourenco and his wife Maria Natalia, Carlos Lourenco and his wife Emilia, Isabel Nunes and her husband Jose Carlos, Maria Connie Silva and her husband Jose all of Cranston, and Luis Lourenco and his wife Christina of Lincoln. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The Lourenco family would like to acknowledge the entire VNA Hospice for their compassion and care.His funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:15 from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 463 Benefit Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 pm.
