Mendonca, Francisco P. of Canario Drive, passed away on April 21, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria C. (Botelho) Mendonca, they were married for over 54 years. Mr. Mendonca had a great love for animals; he was a hardworking, proud self-employed farmer. He was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family. He was active with Teofilo Braga Club in East Providence, and the Holy Ghost Society with St. Elizabeth Church. Besides his wife he leaves his loving children, Isabel Couto, Mary Mendonca, Lenore Andrade, Grace Andrade, Ana Pereira, Manuel Mendonca, Sadie Medina and Debbie Pacheco. He was the brother of Joseph Resendes, grandfather of 19, great-grandfather of 4. He was also the father of the late Manuel and John Mendonca. Visitation will be held on TUESDAY from 4 to 8 pm in The Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home 615 Main St., Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Church in Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Bristol.
