Frank Bergheimer

Frank Bergheimer, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta (Wilkes) Bergheimer for over 58 years.Born and raised in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Florence (O'Brien) Bergheimer.Frank worked as a Cost Estimator for Electric Boat, Groton for 31 years until retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson and Wales Business School.Frank was an avid reader, he loved woodworking, building and designing custom furniture and garden accessories. He truly loved landscaping. He could be found sculpting his yard or working in his woodshop every chance he could. He also had a passion for antiques. In his later years he enjoyed traveling with his daughter June. Frank was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.He leaves behind four children, Frank Bergheimer and his wife Mary of Warwick, David Bergheimer and his wife Nancy of Connecticut, William Bergheimer of Coventry, June Marie Bergheimer of California; five grandchildren, Nicholos, Frank, Brandi, Heidi, David; nine great-grandchildren; he was the brother of Joan Bergheimer of Pawtucket , Doris Davenport of Warwick, Peggy Paquin of Johnston, Edward Bergheimer and his wife Sandy of Florida. He was the brother of the late William Burke.His funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. (Rt 117), Warwick, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.
