Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Vincente) Costa. He was the father of Joseph Costa and his wife Lisa and Corinne Carroll and her husband Jerry; grandfather of Brian, Theo and Amie Costa and Joseph Benjamin; step-father of Donna Gonsalves and Cheryl Benjamin; step-grandfather of Jason and Johnny; great-grandfather of 4. He was the brother of the late Millie Vierra, Adeline Mulzer and Angelina Estrella.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had worked in the traffic division for the City of Pawtucket for 20 years.
Visitation will be held Thursday 10-11 a.m. with his funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial with military honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
