North Providence: Genevieve A.,"Gen" Lavoie, 69, of Mineral Spring Avenue, and formerly of Lakeside Drive, Smithfield, died Friday evening, January 11, 2013, at Darlington Memory Lane. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Lavoie.Born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Austin and Genevieve (Edmonds) Grady, she lived in Smithfield most of her life.Genevieve was a certified medication technician at Heritage Hills Nursing Center for several years before her retirement. She leaves a son, Robert D. Lavoie and his wife Selena; two daughters, Kathleen M. Kando and her husband Charles, and Michele A. Allen and her husband David; two sisters, Maureen Shoren and Mary Faerber; and eight loving grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Jeanne Chadwick and Margaret Reposa. The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours Tuesday, 5 - 8 pm.
