George Edmond Chestnut Jr.

Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late George and Edith (Claflin) Chestnut.

George, owned Antique shops throughout his life and owned a Taylor Rental Co in his youth. He loved hunting gems and minerals throughout the U.S as he lived and traveled to 47 of the U.S States. He had his own key to a room in the Smithsonian Institute that some of his specimens were kept. He was gentle and kind he fed the birds outside everyday. His love for his wife was immeasurable he protected and loved her so dearly.

He was the loving father of Rebecca Grieco and her husband Michael, George E. Chestnut, III, Jeffrey Chestnut and his wife Kerry-Lynn and Michael Chestnut; grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 5.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private.
