She was the daughter of the late Alberto and Philomena (Creta) Ferrara; wife of Joseph G. Arnold for 53 years; mother of Julie A. Rathbun and husband Thomas, Gordon J. Arnold and wife Stacy, and Kelly L. Arnold; grandmother of Kyle and Emma Rathbun, and Abigail Arnold; sister of the late William A. Ferrara.
Geraldine had worked in childcare as a nanny for many years before retiring.
Visitation Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. with her funeral on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by burial in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
