CORTEZ, GILBERT A., 59, passed away after succumbing to a chronic illness on Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was the loving husband of Donnalee Brown-Cortez. Son by law of Edward and Myrtle Brown. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Shaynan Burns and beloved by Jeanne Brown and Seth Harrison and dear friend of Dan Dailey. He was the step-father of the late David Larson. He also leaves behind his loving brother’s by law, his Target family, and his dear friends in Foxboro. He was a fighter and a hero. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Swan Point Cemetery at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Miriam Hospital, The Spiritual Care Department, 164 Summit Ave., Providence, RI 02906.
