Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Florie J. and Elsa B. (Aceto) Sechio. Gil was the loving father of Diane Sechio Bogosian and her husband David, and Michael J. Sechio and his wife Lisa; cherished grandfather of Michael and Eliana Bogosian and Emma Sechio; brother of F. Michael Sechio, Robert Sechio and Dorothy Poirier.
Gil was a self-employed contractor. Everyone that knew him knew they could call him anytime to come help with anything they needed, no matter if it was day or night. Gil loved New England Sports. What he enjoyed most was watching his grandson Michael play baseball and basketball. When Emma and Eliana started playing sports, he made sure he was at all 3 of the grandkids games, even if it meant driving around the state or beyond. He absolutely cherished his grandchildren, they were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends.
