He was a son of the late Gioacchino Sr. and Giuseppa (Giglio) Mento; beloved husband of Anna (Corio) Mento; brother of Antonio Mento (Maria) and the late Genoveffa Corio, Angela DeCarlo, Angelica Popolo, Josephine Africo, Joseph, Carmelo, Peter, and Angelo Mento; godfather of Maryann Sgro Karcher, Josephine Giorgianni, and Maria Micale DiChiara. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jack was the owner and operator of Jack’s Barber Shop on Branch Avenue in Providence since 1954, retiring in 1986.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Entombment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Ann Church Memorial Fund.
