

Providence Glenn A. Ginish, 54, of Beaufort Street, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday evening, October 18, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (McConaghy) DiBiase-Ginish. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Stanley and Rose (Machowski) Ginish. Glenn was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for the past fourteen years. A 1978 graduate of Shea High School, he was an outstanding athlete who was a member of the school swim team and baseball team. In 1995, he was inducted into the Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Active in his church community, he recently completed a missionary journey to El Salvadore where he, along with other church members, repaired local churches and orphanages. In addition to his wife Mary, he leaves a son, Glenn Ginish, Jr.; two daughters, Laura Ginish and Maranda DiBiase; six step-children, Althea DiBiase, Victoria DiBiase, Jacqueline DiBiase, Daniel DiBiase (USMC), Joslin DiBiase and Ciara DiBiase; two brothers, Stanley Ginish and Cliff Ginish; three sisters, twin Gayle Ginish, Cynthia Hundermark and Nanci Ginish; several grandchildren; two foster children, Kylie and Marisol; four step foster grandchildren, and his father in law, Leo J. McConaghy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, at 10:00 am, in the Victory Assembly of God Church, 321 Veazie Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours Sunday, 4 - 7 pm. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Victory Assembly of God Church Plant Outreach, 321 Veazie Street, Providence, RI 02904 in his memory will be appreciated.
