Gloria L. Beretta Romano

Born in Mount Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida G. (Grasso) Beretta; beloved wife of Ben Romano for 62 years; devoted mother of Carol J. Clark, Bennie J. Romano, Susan M. Romano and fiancé Ronald Gelineau; cherished grandmother of Walter A. Clark and Christopher J. Romano; sister of John D. Beretta and the late Esther M. Giammarco.

Mrs. Romano had worked as a supervisor secretary for the State of RI Legislative Press & Council before retiring. Gloria’s life was a celebration of love for her precious gifts which were her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 5-8 p.m. with a funeral service on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by burial in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. www.pontarellimarinofunerals.com
