Harold Joseph Millard

SMITHFIELD - MILLARD, Harold J., 74, of Scenic View Drive, passed away peacefully Monday at Hopkins Manor. He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Callaghan) Millard. He was born in Providence, the son of the late Harold S. and Ellen I. (Toolan) Millard, and had lived in Smithfield for the past 40 years. Mr. Millard had been an electronic specialist at the Raytheon Corporation for 38 years until he retired in 1995. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Esmond and a member of the Holy Ghost Society. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his children Brian J. Millard and his wife Mary of North Providence, Christopher P. Millard and his wife Josephine of Exeter, and Kathleen P. Wood and her husband Peter of Glocester, and his daughter in law Lynn Millard of Coventry; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late David R. Millard. His funeral will be Saturday at 8am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-7pm.
