Born in Providence, Helen was the beloved daughter of the late John and Stephanie (Boyko) D'Elena. A lifelong Rhode Island resident, she was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Helen found her greatest joy in the people she loved and the relationships she nurtured over the years.
She leaves behind her loving son, Erik Haworth, and her cherished grandson, Lawrence Haworth, who brought immense pride and happiness to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Celeste Lambert and John D'Elena. Helen's warmth, compassion, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Helen had a special love for animals and was especially compassionate toward those in need of care and protection. Her gentle nature and caring heart reflected the kindness she freely shared throughout her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
