Helen V. Gendron Norton

Providence Helen V. (Miner) Gendron Norton, 89, of Hazael Street, died Saturday morning, January 21st, 2012, at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stanley Gendron and the late Joseph Norton. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ida (Bernier) Miner. Helen was a secretary for many years before retiring. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church and a member of the Irish Celidhe Club of Rhode Island. She leaves two sons, Mychal B. Gendron and Jay P. Gendron; a daughter, Geraldine A. Cotter; a brother, Charles Miner; a sister, June McCoy; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Ernest Miner, Jr. and the late Mary Gibbons. The funeral and visitation will be held Wednesday morning, from 8:15 to 9:15 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
