
Warwick: Sanford, Helen E. (Regan), 90, of 355 Hardig Rd., died Tuesday at her home. She was the wife of the late Albert C. Sanford.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Ellen V. (Shannon) Regan, she traveled the world extensively.Mrs. Sanford was an assistant to the Director for Rhode Island Airports for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She later was a Hospice volunteer for Kent County Visiting Nurses Association.She is survived by her four sons, Albert M. Sanford of North Carolina, John J. Sanford, Esq., of Camden, Maine, James L. Sanford of Edmond, OK and Paul M. Sanford, Esq. of Barrington, RI, her daughter, Nancy E. Donahue of Andover, MA, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late F. Elwood, John T., Ruth M. and Vincent Regan.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00am in St. Gregory The Great Church, Cowesett Rd. Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are repectfully ommitted.
