Born in Salem, MA, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen (Gilliland) Rice.
Henry attended Oberlin College and later graduated from Tufts University. He was a chemist for Uniroyal working in the Research and Development department. He was also a WW II Marine Veteran and a member of the Salem Marine Society and the Sons of the American Revolution.
He was the father of Donald Rice and Pamela Sinel; grandfather of Alyssa, Josh and Rachael and brother of the late Donald Rice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 9:00 am in the R.I. Veteran’s Cemetery, 301 So. County Trail, Exeter, RI.
