Herbert Green

GREEN, HERBERT “HARVEY”, 81, died October 10, 2012.  He was the husband of Paulette (Breyer) Green for 59 years.  Born in Lynn, MA, a son of the late Max A. and Anna (Rudin) Green, he had been a resident of Pawtucket since 1953.  Mr. Green attended Providence College and was a salesman for the former Copley-Fradin Distributors retiring in 1996.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, was a member of the Korean Veterans Association, Disabled American Veterans and was a Past State Commander of the Jewish War Veterans Department of RI, a Past Commander of Reback-Winston Post of the JWV, and was a Past President of the United Veteran’s Council of RI. He was also a member of the Touro Fraternal Association and the E. L. Freeman Masonic Lodge.    Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Steve Green and his wife Margo of Hinesburg, VT, Jeff Green and his wife Karen of Providence and Nancy Doran and her husband David of Bend, OR; his brother, Dr. Alfred Green of Philadelphia; and his sister, Marcia White of Manchester, NH.    Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12th at 11:00 AM in the Samuel Priest Chapel in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the RI Jewish War Veterans, PO Box 100064, Cranston, RI 02910.  Shiva will be held at his late residence on Sat 7:30-9 and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
