MANDELL, HERBERT E. “MENDY”, 87, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. Herb was born in Providence, the son of the late George and Etta Mandell. He was a longtime resident of Narragansett and previously of Cranston and Providence. He graduated from the Mass School of Physiotherapy in 1952 and served in the Army with the occupational forces in Japan. He was an associate and manager of the popular Sterling Shoes of Warwick and an associate of Sherry’s Shoes in Newport. After retiring, he was a supervisor for the Brown University indoor tennis courts for over 15 years. He is survived by his daughters Candace Mandell and Leslie Amadio and sister Barbara Weisman. He was the father of the late Pamela Mandell. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 21st at 10AM in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Rd, Warwick.
